BAS holds the pedigree registry for all alpacas in the UK, runs shows, courses and lobbies for the alpaca industry. We are members and all of our alpacas are recorded in the registry. Using the registry is essential for research when considering buying an alpaca.
A good place to find breeders, studs and alpacas for sale.
Retail site for all the kit for alpacas: halters, coats, vitamins, first aid, microchips and ear tags etc.
A useful retailer of hardware for alpaca farmers: gates, troughs, hurdles, hay racks etc. Ring them up and ask for a discount when buying multiple items like hurdles!
A really good local breeder who has been incredibly helpful to us and is the breeder and co-owner of our stud Hilly Ridge Balius Blue. A great place for courses and family alpaca experiences and the place to go if you want a huacaya.
